CodeTaska QR legal

Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information used by the CodeTaska QR Android app and this product website. CodeTaska QR is a product of OERENA.

Effective August 23, 2026Last updated August 23, 2026

1. Scope and provider

This Privacy Policy applies to the CodeTaska QR Android application, its connected product services, and the CodeTaska QR product website. OERENA provides CodeTaska QR and is responsible for the product practices described here.

The app helps people scan, create, save, share and manage QR codes and barcodes. Some features work locally, while account, cloud, advertising, subscription, dynamic QR and AI-assisted features involve third-party or OERENA-hosted services as described below.

2. Camera, images, files and device storage

CodeTaska QR requests camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera frames are analysed for scanning; the app does not automatically upload camera images to OERENA.

If you choose an image or PDF, the app accesses that selected file to identify codes. PDF pages may be rendered to temporary image files for local scanning. If you choose to add a logo to a QR code, save generated artwork, export history or share content, the app accesses or creates the files needed to complete that action. Android media or storage permission may be requested where required by the device version.

3. Local history and preferences

When history saving is enabled, the app stores scanned or generated content, code type, timestamps, favourites and related record metadata in app storage on your device. The app also stores preferences such as history saving, sound and vibration settings.

You can turn future history saving off, delete individual items, clear local history or export history from the app. Local data generally remains until you delete it, clear app data or uninstall the app, subject to device backup behaviour controlled by your operating system.

4. Google sign-in, Firebase and optional cloud sync

Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication are used for account identity, subscription protection and optional cloud features. When you sign in, OERENA and Firebase may process your Firebase user identifier, email address, display name, profile photo URL and authentication tokens.

The app stores an account record in Cloud Firestore containing the user identifier and available profile fields. Cloud history sync is optional and starts only when a signed-in user chooses Sync History or Restore History. Synced records can include QR or barcode content, record type, title, timestamps, favourites and related metadata.

5. Dynamic QR and AI-assisted features

When you use AI-assisted QR creation, the prompt you enter is sent to an OERENA-operated backend service so it can classify the request and return QR-ready content.

When you create or manage a dynamic QR code, the destination URL, dynamic record identifier, protection choice and any protection password you submit are sent to the product backend to provide the feature. The service also processes information needed to redirect the code and show basic usage information, such as scan totals and scan timing. Do not place sensitive information in prompts, QR destinations or protection fields unless necessary.

6. Google Play subscriptions and entitlements

Purchases are handled by Google Play. To verify and restore a subscription, the app sends the package name, product identifier, base-plan information and Google Play purchase token to an authenticated OERENA Cloud Function. The function checks the subscription with the Google Play Developer API.

OERENA stores entitlement information needed to provide paid access, which can include plan, product and base-plan identifiers, subscription state, expiry, renewal and acknowledgement information, verification time, and a hashed token ownership reference. OERENA does not receive your full payment-card details from Google Play.

7. Advertising

Free users may see advertising delivered through Google AdMob. The current app initializes mobile ads for eligible Free-plan users; paid users are intended to use the app without those ads.

Google and its advertising partners may process device or advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, approximate location derived from technical signals, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver, limit, secure and measure ads, subject to Google's policies and applicable consent requirements. Learn more from Google's information for sites and apps that use its services.

8. Analytics, diagnostics and the product website

As of this policy's last-updated date, the inspected app configuration does not include Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics. The in-app analytics dashboard analyses your saved QR history for your own use; it is not a Firebase Analytics integration.

Infrastructure providers such as Firebase, Google Play, Google Mobile Ads and OERENA's hosting services may still generate operational logs, security events and diagnostics. This product website uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which may process limited page-view, browser, device, network and performance information to measure and improve the website.

9. How information is used

OERENA uses information to provide requested app features; authenticate users; synchronise selected history; verify subscriptions and enable paid access; operate dynamic and AI-assisted QR services; serve ads to eligible users; secure and troubleshoot services; respond to support requests; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

OERENA does not use cloud-synced QR history to target AdMob advertising.

10. Service providers and disclosure

Information may be processed by providers that help operate CodeTaska QR, including Google Play, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Google Cloud, Google Sign-In, Google AdMob and Vercel. Their handling is also governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

OERENA may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users or services, enforce applicable terms, or support a business reorganisation or transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

11. Retention and your choices

Retention depends on the feature and purpose. Local history remains under the controls described above. Account, cloud history, dynamic QR and entitlement records are retained while reasonably needed to provide the feature, maintain security and subscription records, resolve support issues, or meet legal obligations.

You can sign out, disable history saving, clear or export local history, and choose whether to use cloud sync. For access, correction or deletion assistance concerning server-side CodeTaska information, contact contact@oerena.com. OERENA may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

12. Security, international processing and children

OERENA uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the services, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Information may be processed where OERENA or its providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements.

CodeTaska QR is a general utility and is not directed to children where their use is not permitted by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact OERENA.

13. Changes and contact

OERENA may update this policy as CodeTaska QR, connected services or legal requirements evolve. The updated version will be posted here with a revised last-updated date.
