CodeTaska QR privacy control

Delete your account and data

CodeTaska QR is a product of OERENA. Use the in-app controls for immediate deletion, or email OERENA if you no longer have access to the app.

Effective August 24, 2026Last updated August 24, 2026

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open CodeTaska QR and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings from the bottom navigation.
  3. In the Account section, tap Delete account.
  4. Review the deletion notice. Delete any Dynamic QR campaigns you want removed before continuing.
  5. Type DELETE, then tap Delete account permanently.

For security, CodeTaska may ask you to sign out and sign in again before trying deletion. A successful in-app request deletes the active account data immediately; no support contact is required.

Request deletion without the app

If CodeTaska QR is no longer installed or you cannot access the in-app control, email contact@oerena.com with the subject CodeTaska QR account deletion request.

Send the request from the email address used for your CodeTaska account and identify that address in the message. Do not send your Google password, reviewer password, payment-card details or Google Play purchase token. OERENA may request reasonable proof that you control the account. Verified requests are completed within 30 days.

Data deleted with the account

  • The CodeTaska Firebase Authentication identity, including its Firebase UID and available email, display-name and profile-photo fields.
  • The Cloud Firestore account document at users/{uid}.
  • Cloud-synced QR and barcode history beneath that account, including content, type, title, timestamps, favourites and metadata.
  • Plan and entitlement metadata, product and base-plan identifiers, subscription state, expiry and verification timestamps.
  • Hashed Google Play purchase-token ownership references linked to that Firebase UID. Raw purchase tokens are not stored in these records.
  • QR history stored locally on the device that completes in-app account deletion.

Delete synced history without deleting your account

CodeTaska supports deletion of cloud-synced QR history while keeping the account. Open Settings → Account → Delete synced history, review the notice and confirm Delete cloud history. This deletes the synced history from Cloud Firestore but does not remove history saved locally on your device.

You can separately use Settings → Data → Clear QR History to delete local history without deleting the account.

Dynamic QR and AI data

The current Dynamic QR service does not attach Firebase UIDs, account emails or another CodeTaska account identifier to Dynamic QR records. Because there is no safe account-to-record mapping, account deletion cannot identify those records. Delete each campaign using its Delete Dynamic QR control before deleting the account. A deleted campaign and its destination, protection setting, stored protection password, scan count and scan timestamps are removed from the active Dynamic QR database.

AI QR prompts are sent to the AI service to generate a response but are not stored in the CodeTaska application database. The AI service provider may retain abuse-monitoring logs containing prompts or responses for up to 30 days, or longer if legally required.

Subscriptions are managed by Google Play

Deleting a CodeTaska account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Billing and subscription status are controlled by Google Play. To prevent future renewal, open Google Play Store, select your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CodeTaska QR → Cancel subscription.

Google may retain purchase, payment, tax and subscription records under its own policies. Those Google-held records are not deleted by CodeTaska account deletion.

Limited retained records and retention periods

CodeTaska does not retain an active account profile, synced history, entitlement record or hashed token-ownership record after successful account deletion. The inspected Firestore databases have no scheduled backups and point-in-time recovery is disabled.

Ordinary application, security and service logs in the configured Google Cloud _Default log buckets are retained for 30 days. Google Cloud's required administrative audit logs are retained for 400 days. These logs are kept for service security, abuse investigation and audit obligations and are not used to restore a deleted CodeTaska account.

Data may be retained longer only when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or investigation of fraud or abuse. OERENA has not identified a CodeTaska-specific statutory period requiring active account content to be retained.
